About 80 percent local people are Tamang who follow the Budhist religion. You will see many more stupas and Monasteries in the path of trekking. Besides, you will the Himalaya local villages and how they have spending the daily life. The important thing is that you will experience the Hospitality services of local people living in the Himalaya.
Accommodation and food :
Local Guest house or Hotel. You don’t have to expect of sophisticated hotel like the hotel of city. You don’t have to worry about where to sleep. Likewise, the local hotels or guest houses have menu of foods and drink. You can have some of the items of Italy, continental Indain and all items of Nepali food. Therefore, you don’t have to worry about food.
Accessible:
The trekking start point can be reached by Jeep, Car and Bus. It takes about 5-6 hours by drive to get to start point of trekking. Rescue by helicopter is also available for emergency. In case of failing to rescue by a helicopter, sick man can be easily taken to place where jeep or bus can be cached.
Amenities:
Not only hotel, guest house and food, the hot shower is also available. Although the solar does not work in the cold season, the owner of hotel will provide hot water on request. Nowadays, most of the hotels and guest houses of Langtang area have the internet access.
The first day of your Tamang heritage and Langtang trekking will be only by vehicle. You will get to Syabrubeshi by a vehicle looking the villages and traditional farming terrace. It takes about 5-6 hours.
The journey for today is quite long day. You have to cross the bridge of Bhotekoshi River about in 5-10 minutes after leaving the Hotel. After crossing the bridge, you have to again cross of Bridge of Langtang River . After crossing the Bridge of Langtang River, you have to follow the Lanagtang River through the forests. The treks goes up through the forest. You will have a short break for tea and coffee in Pahior where few tea houses are available. And then, the trekking path goes up through the forests and you have the break for Bamboo. In between, Pahiro and Bamboo, you will see many bunches of hanging of wild bee and you will see the monkeys. After having lunch in Bamboo, you will to still walk up through the forest until you reach Rimche (2455m) which is a junction where trekker coming from Syabru Benshi and trekker coming from Bridim join. Walking about half fifteen minutes to half an hour you will reach Lama Hotel. Lama hotel is located in the middle of Jungle and this place is very near by Langtang River.
Towering to Langtang Lirung Mountain, the trek gradually goes up through the deciduous and coniferous forest. As you get higher and higher to the Himalaya area, Langtang valley becomes wider and wider and you will see the Langtang Lirung, Gangchenpo mountains. From today you will the check post of Nepal Army because you are walking completely in Langtang National Park .
The trekking slightly goes up to Kyanjing Gumba through local villages of Tibetan speaking people. Like the previous day, Langtang valley become wider and wider.
Hiking around Langtang valley gives you more pleasure. Today, you will hike up Kyanging Ri (4300m)view point from where you can see the stunning view of Langtang Lirung, Langtang Glacier. Yala Peak, Naya Kanga, Gangchenpo and other many more snow-capped mountain as well as the Langtang valley. There is another view point which is called Tserko Ri ( 4984m). Tserko Ri is in North east from Kyangjing Gumba village. It takes about 8-9 hours to go to Tserko-Ri view point and come back to Hotel. So, if you are interested and if your physical condition is fit, you have to leave hotel very early morning. The important thing is that you have to take a packed lunch and carry enough drinking water. The view which you see from the top of Tserko-Ri is magnificent. You can see more mountains than the view seen from the top of Kyangjiri. Very few tourists go to Tserko-Ri
You will come back to Rimche following the same way which you followed to go to Langtang valley. There are few hotels in Rimche. Therefore, you may stay in Lama Hotel instead of Rimche.
The trek goes down and cross the Bridge of Langtang River. After crossing the Bridge of Langtang River, you will first reach to Bamboo and then Pahior. After Pahiro, the trek goes up through the bamboo and lush forest. After completing the ascent path, you will have to cross the bridge and go up to Tholosyanbru village where Tamang people live. Tamang is one of the ethnics who has their own language and follows the Budhist religion.
There are two ways to go to Lauribinayak. Both ways go slightly up. One way directly goes up to Lauri Binayak through the Bhaisi Kharka . If you go to Lauribinyak through the Baishi Kharka, you will first reach to Cholangpati and than you will go to Lauri Binayak. Another way goes up through Singumba . This trekking path will join in Cholangpati and follow the same path to reach Lauribinayak. You have to walk through the rhododendron forest, pine trees and bamboo. In the spring season this trekking path looks full of bloomed rhododendron flowers. Likewise, you can also see the valley and mountain. Lauribinayak is related to the hindu religion and this place relates to Gosaikunda. Lauri means a stick in Nepali Languange. In myth, it is said that Lord Shib, a god of Hindu, forgot his stick in Lauribinayak while walking up to Gosaikunda. Therefore, Lauribinayak is the place where Lord shib forgot his stick when he was going up Gosaikund Lake to be cool after having poison. This is only myth but this place has a religious value.
There is no tree in Lauribinayek. This place is located in like ridge. As Lauribinakek is in ridge, you can enjoy looking the Himalayan range of snow covered mountains. Particularly, you see Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Manasolu and Annapurna Himalaya range. But, Manasolu and Annapurna looks in far distant. Not, only the magnificent view of mountain, you can also see the valley with the tier upon tier green hills in the south part. Lauribinayak is a good place to see Sunset. Looking the view of sunset and sunrise having a cup coffee and tea will give you pleasure.
The trek slightly goes up about one hour and then it gradually goes up. You can enjoy enjoy looking the Himalayan range of snow covered mountains and valley from the trekking path. After walking of 3-4 hours, you will reach Gosaikunda Lake which is a Holy lake and a pilgrim area. Once in a year, the many devotees of Hindu religion come to pray in the temple and Gosiakunda Lake for good wishes. You will reach Gosaikund Lake by Lunch time and stay in the same place. After having lunch you can walk up and around the Gosaikunda Lake.
We will get back to Cholanpati following the same trail that was used to get Gosaikunda and get descent untill we reach Dhunche. We stay onver night.
We will get back to Kathmandu by bus or jeep . It takes about 4-5 hours .
