  • Amadablam mountain . The height of Amadablam mountain is 6170 m (20243 feet). Amadablam Mountain is located in Sagarmatha National park and it is one of the major attractions of Everest Base Camp Trek.   • Pumori mountain. Pumori mountain is one of the major attractive mountains of Everest base camp trek and height of pumori mountain is 7,161 m.
  • Other mountains. Labuche peak ( 6119m), Cholatse mountain (6440m), Lingtren mountain (6,749 m), Kongde Ri (6197m) and etc.

Flora and Fauna. 

As Everest Base camp trek lies in the Sagarmatha National Park, you can see different kind of mountain wild animal such as pheasant, deer, blue sheep. The snow leopard is also inhabited in the National park but it is very hard to see it . You have to go to very high area and stay for long time to take the picture of snow leopard. Everest base camp is not only an area of National parks but also one of the World heritages.  Especially in spring season, you will see different kinds of bloomed floYours including rhododendron.  The trees have grown  up to the place  below 4000 m height and mountain herbs are also available.

Cultural diversity. 

Although, Sherpa caste lives in Everest region in majority, other cast such as  Rai, Tamang and Ksetri also live . Having aim of doing business, except Sherpa cast, other casts have migrated up to Namche Bazzar and obove the Namche . The area above Lukla is believed as a holy area. Therefore, it is not alloYoud to kill any animal  and chicken in Lukla and in the place above Lukla. Animal and chicken are killed below Lukla and then the meat is transported up.  If you do trekking in Everest region, you will see not only the mountains, but also the monasteries and stupa belonged to Buddhist.  Tyangboche monastery is one of the attractions for tourist and it is the monastery which is situated in highest altitude in the world. Besides, you will also see many Buddhist praying flags being hanged along the side of trekking path.

River and Glacier .

Dudh Koshi River is a main river to which you have to cross many times during the Everest base camp trek. Khumbu ice fall and Khumbu Glacier can be also seen from very close. Khumbu Glacier flowing from above the Everest base camp also attracts the trekkers. The length of Khumbu glacier is more than 15 km and it is biggest glacier of Nepal.

Food and Accommodation. 

The hotel and tea houses are available in the Everest base camp trek. Gorakshep is the highest place for sleeping in your entire Everest base camp trek. The height of Gorakshep is 5,140 m from the seal level. Generally, you will get to Gorakshep by lunch time. After having lunch you will go to Everest base camp for a day hike. And, in the early morning next day, you will go to Kalapather . Someone goes to Kalapathar to see the view of  sunset instead of going to Everest base camp. There are few hotels in Gorakshep. Therefore, it may be difficult to find the room in Gorakshep and Labuche in main season. Labuche is second last place having the hotel and tea house. In the hotel, you can eat the different  food written on the menu.

Accessible .

Everest base camp trek is easily accessible. There are two ways to get to Everest base camp. First one is a flight for Lukla and second one is  a driving up to below Lukla and walking.  If you want to go to Everest base camp by a jeep, you have to take the jeep or local bus for Salleri . Salleri is a head quarter of Everest region. From Salleri, you have to take again local jeep up to below Lukla. You to walk from Salleri to Lukla in the rain season.. If you want to go to Everest base camp by walking, you must have three days more than the days needed for a trekking which begins from Lukla. After Lukla you have to follow the DudhKoshi River until you reach bottom of Namche Bazaar. After that, the trail of Everest Base camp trek gradually goes up where some time you have to go up and down.

Amenities. 

Nowadays, the infrastructures are being developed in Everest base camp trek. The Wi-Fi Internet, Mobile phone is available in Everest base camp trek.  In some places, the bakery, Coffee latte, Cappuccino and Americano are also available. The hot shoYour using Gas is also available but the hotel owner charge extra money for it.

Trek begins and ends

Lukla

Itinerary

You will go to the Ramechhap airport by drive about 3-4 hours.

You will fly to Lukla looking snow-covered Himalaya range. After less than half an hour flight,  the Everest base camp trek begins .

You will have to follow the Dhudh Koshi River through the village and forest until you reach Hillary Bridge or lap of Namche bazzar. After crossing the windy and deep bridge you will ascent to Namche Bazzar through the forest.

You will hike around Syangboche to acclimate and to see the magnificent views of Amadablam, Mt Everest and others snow-capped mountains. You will, at the same day, visit the Khumjung and Khunde valley where the school and hospital are built up by Sir, Edmun Hillary.

The trek goes up and down towering to Amadablam. You have to be careful when the yaks passes you because the trekkers and yaks have to follow the same trail. From this day you will see busier road. However,  the heart-beating views of beautiful snow-capped mountains never make you bored .You will have to cross the bridge after descending through the Himalaya pine trees, and then you will be ascending up to Tangbuche where the big and old monastery is located.  \

You will go through the forest until you cross the bridge. After crossing the bridge You will gradually go up to Dingbuche .

It is good to have one day extra for acclimatization. You will hike up to the view point of Dingbuche. Alternatively, you can also go to Chhukung valley for acclimatization. The acclimatization that you made will support to succeed the Everest base camp and two pass trekking.

The trek goes up to Labuche making Amadablam in back side and towering to Pumari. Labuche is located in almost five thousand miters height. Therefore, you may feel uncomfortable in sleeping and breathing due to lack of oxygen. Some of you may have the mild headache also. You should drink enough water as much as possible to avoid the dehydration.

You will trek on moraine towering to Pumari, Mt-Everest and Nuptse . You will, perhaps, reach to Goraksep by lunch time. You, after having lunch, will hike to Everest base camp from where the expedition team begins to climb the mountains.

In the early morning, you will climb up to Kalapatther to see the heart-beating views of Mt-Everest,Lhotse, Nuptse and other snow covered mountain.  You can see the world’s highest mountain Mt-Everest being face to face from Kalapatther. Even if you are unable to get to the top of Kalather, you can still see the good view of Mt-Everest from the half way. After having the breakfast at the hotel, the helicopter will pick up by two to three people in one flight and land at pheriche or Syanbuche. After dropping you in Syanbuche, the helicopter will take you back to Kathmandu.

After a helicopter tour in Annapurna base camp, you will visit the some touristic places where you have not visited.
